About Sounds of Wonder
'Sounds of Wonder' was established in 2015 to encourage Christian artists who we believe have a unique sound but who have limited recording experience or resources. We hope to facilitate a creative but efficient recording process for them, and produce their music with excellence. To do this, we work in association with a professional recording studio (usually Raindance Music in Stourbridge), but our own services (e.g. advice, production and graphic design) are offered on a 'not for profit' basis.
Sounds of Wonder also exists as a website platform to bring together the various strands of music ministry that we are involved in, and to showcase the music of associated artists, all in one central hub.
As Christian musicians, we believe music and sound are vital, not only in times of worship and intercession, but also when we perform concerts or when we are in the recording studio. In all of these environments we have felt God's pleasure or His tangible presence, changing the atmosphere. We have heard from many people who have been deeply touched or experienced a measure of healing through our music, whether by listening at home, at small local gatherings, concerts or large international conferences where we have played. We are so thankful to God that His Spirit moves through the SOUNDS we make - All we can do is stand in awe and WONDER .
About Julie & Nigel
Julie Cameron-Hall, an English folk singer, songwriter and classically trained violin player recorded her first album in 2006 and made a total of five albums as Julie Hall, before being married to Nigel. All of her solo recordings are still available to buy. She is one half of 'Celtish', as well as being a member of the classical group 'Epiphany' and the international band 'The Worship Company'.
Nigel Cameron, a percussionist / Irish whistle player, photographer, songwriter and worship leader from Belfast, recorded his first solo album of worship songs, 'Sunrise to Sunset' in 2012, while on a career break from the Civil Service. In 2014 he also recorded a kids album of all-age songs called 'Get Real', the first project he worked on together with Julie. He is now the other half of 'Celtish' and also part of 'Epiphany' and 'The Worship Company'.
In 2024 he hopes to release a new 'solo' album.

We first met each other at an international worship gathering in Poland in 2008, married in 2014 and now travel widely as 'musicianaries' throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
We perform concerts as 'Celtish', lead worship at church weekends and retreats (with Julie sometimes bringing the bible teaching). We play regularly with other musicians, including Epiphany and also flow with other worship leaders including Wytze Valkema (The Worship Company) and Rob Parker. As well as recording our own albums and producing music for others (see below), we also do session work for other artists, most recently featuring on albums by Canadian worship leader Andy Park and prog guitarist Dave Bainbridge.

About Our Recordings
Nigel & Julie are members of the international worship band The Worship Company whose 2015 album 'Emerald' was the first to be recorded under Nigel & Julie's Sounds of Wonder label, with Nigel as producer. They are also members of the classical improvisation group Epiphany whose 2015 album 'Into the Deep' featured songs by them both. Two further Sounds of Wonder albums were produced in 2016 - Maggie Jemmet's 'Lost and Found Musical' and Nigel and Juliie's first Celtish recording, the instrumental album 'Celtish'. 2017 saw the release of 'Sounds of Wonder', Julie's baby music resource (book & CD) and also 'Celtish Christmas' album. 2018 brought Maggie Jemmett's second production 'Patrick the Musical' and in 2019 'Celtish Devotion' was Nigel & Julie's new recording but in the same year they also produced Rodney Gale's debut album 'Pilgrim Road'. March 2020 saw the release of The Worship Company's new album 'Ring of Fire' featuring Wytze Valkema and in February 2021, 'Celtish Home', an album created during lockdown, was released. 'Heaven Sings' is an album by worship leader David Hadden, released Sept 2021 and 'Celtish Christmas (Vol.2)' followed in Nov 2021. Much of the following year was focussed on recording Linda Entwistle's 'A Lifetime' album, released in Nov 2022, when work began on Lauren Leigh's EP 'Songs in the Key of Leigh', released in Feb 2023. Then it was Wytze Valkema whose songs became the focus for The Worship Company Vol.3 album 'A Living Sacrifice' which was released in Sept 2023. After working with David Hadden on three new song released as s digital singles, our 6th album 'Celtish Journey' was made and released in Nov 2023.

As individual artists (Nigel in Northern Ireland and Julie in England), we have both had long established experience recording and performing Celtic-influenced music at home and abroad. Working together as a married couple since 2014, we have now recorded a total of six 'Celtish' albums (so far) and have traveled extensively, sometimes with other musicians, using 'Celtish' as our band name.
Our 'Celtish' performances usually take the form of a concert in two halves, with an interval in-between, usually for refreshments. We include a range of upbeat and reflective music, instrumentals, original songs and familiar lyrics set to timeless melodies. As well as introducing songs with personal testimonies we often share stories about the Celtic Saints and songs based on what we have recently learned about them - Christian pioneers like Patrick, Brendan, Columba, Kevin, Aidan & Hilda all have amazing stories to tell about the spread of Christianity throughout these islands. We think these should be more widely known.
We hope that hosting a 'Celtish' concert in your venue can help build bridges between Church & community. The popularly of Celtic music and the uniqueness of our sound, strongly featuring fiddle and whistles, seems to give our concerts a wide appeal to audiences. We believe the music has power to bring healing and hope and there are usually one or two extravagant 'joy-bursts' in the programme. We also hope to dispel some myths about the ancient Celtic Saints
